Rachel Risner
I began working for Sandals Church in December of 2008 as the family ministries assistant. I love my job! It allows me to be involved in every aspect of Family Ministries, and I love knowing that the little tasks I'm doing are allowing each director to spend more time with our kids & parents. My tasks vary from spray-painting, planning camps & photocopying! Whatever needs to be done, I do it!
I grew up in Riverside. I graduated from California Baptist University in 2005 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration, and received the Criminal Justice Award from the Provost. After graduation I went to American Samoa for a year to teach the 4th grade. I loved it & would say it was the BEST experience of my life (outside of discovering Christ as my savior). I love to travel and dream about the next trip I am going to take. I currently serve in Flip Flops with the 2 Year Olds, that is always interesting!
Colossians 3:16-17 is the verse that I am currently trying to live out "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God in the Father through Him"
