Sandals Church saved my life.
When I was 22 my dad was battling his second bout with lung cancer. I was angry. I was sick of church. I was pretty much done with God. I didn't want any part of Him. So of course He sends me a bunch of people that loved me, even though they didn't know me. The pastoral staff and some small group leaders came to my house to pray for me and my family. I was blown away. People from a church I didn't attend wanted to love on me. When my dad passed away, the anger that I could have had was eliminated. God used that incident to restore my faith in Him and set me on a course I may never have started if it wasn't for Sandals. From then on, I knew that God had bigger plans for me. I began serving at Sandals in Flip Flops, then to Frontside and finally as a staff member. I am so grateful to be able to serve God in the capacity that He has provided for me.
As the creative director for Sandals, I have set a couple of very important guidelines:
One, never use the font comic sans. Two, never use the font papyrus. I stare at two monitors for 50 hours a week in order to communicate Sandals message in a creative way.
Family and Friends are very important to me. My wife Burgundy is my best friend. She and I also want to change the world by being radical Christians. We feel that the world is held back by some of the churches' old ideas. We want to raise awareness about some of the world's problems like water in Africa and write stories that show children the love of Jesus. We will be busy for the rest of our lives. I also have a dog named Crash. When he is acting up his name changes to El Crasho, the Diablo Dog
I love Batman, Frankenstein, macaroni and cheese and good music. It's hard to believe but I hate talking about myself as I prefer to be behind the camera instead. Sometimes I do have interesting things to say, you can read my blog here.
