Janie Weybright

"I am the Early Childhood Director (Flip Flops) at Sandals Church. I have been on staff since July 2001. I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in Early Childhood Multicultural Education and a Master’s degree in Education from California Baptist University. I also spent two years in Tanzania, East Africa as a Kindergarten teacher.

My my passion is to offer a safe, loving place for babies through kindergartners to learn about the love of Jesus.

I am married to one of the many Matts found around Sandals. I love hugs, ice cream, and Reese’s cups. Every week I love to get the hugs, smiles, and waves from the kids. It is a huge joy to hear a child say my name for the first time, and holding the newborns from our prolific Sandals family.

My favorite spiritual concept is, "It's not about you" illustrated by Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
