family ministries

Family Ministry: helping families be real with themselves, others & God.

The family unit is one of the single most influential groups there is. For most of us, our worldview is firmly established by the time we leave our parents home. Our parents view of God, view of religion, view of self, and opinion of us highly impact who we are. The amount of time the average Sandals kid will spend with a Sandals Family Ministry volunteer in a year is minimal compared to the amount of time parents have with them. We believe that God has given parents the role of spiritual leaders in their home. We also believe that it is our responsibility to inspire, equip, and love families as they seek to develop a spiritual legacy in their children. We partner with parents and guardians in guiding children from infancy to adulthood, using the Bible to train them up in authentic relationships.

Family Ministries at Sandals seek to:

FLIP FLOPS - Show the love of God to babies & preschoolers.

PIPELINE - Equip 1st thru 4th graders with the basics of Christianity. Focus on holiness with 5th & 6th graders.

FRONTSIDE - Connect Jr. Highers in authentic relationships. Teach high schoolers to defend their beliefs as they experience the Christian life.

FAMILY DEDICATION - This is a special time for parents to stand before God and the church, promising to raise their children in a Godly home.

flip flops

Flip Flops is the Early Childhood ministry of Sandals Church. We offer a safe, loving place for babies through kindergarteners to come and learn about God. Our vision is... "Being real with myself, my friends, and my Jesus!"

Flip Flops introduces the Bible in a way that a young child can enjoy and understand. We teach the weekly bible lesson through a fun DVD, a simple craft, and a scripture memory verse. Flip Flops encourages young children to be excited to learn about God and the Bible.

Flip Flops also provides loving care to babies and toddlers. The little ones will be played with, fed, changed, but most of all loved. We have a parent paging system if a need or issue arises.

Flip Flops is located to the left of the gymnasium. Look for the fun and colorful signs, or ask a greeter. Flip Flops is offered at the three Sunday services.

pipeline

Named after the most famous surfing spot in the world. Pipeline is an amazing worship experience for older children, grades 1-6, each Sunday. Children catch a ride on our bus to the Wallace Theater on the CBU campus.

Here they experience a fun, exciting time of music and teaching with their own live band and a mix of crazy hosts - Steven, Eddie, Mike and others. After large group time, children break up into small groups where they discuss the lesson with their Island Chiefs (teachers) and pray for one another. Then children come back together and celebrate what they've learned. Pipeline is a place where children learn to be real with themselves, their friends, and Jesus.

We look forward to seeing you there! Aloha!

frontside

According to Psalm 25:5 we should have a guide in life that can lead us through truth and will save us in times of trouble.

Frontside is the name of an extreme sport move where the athlete faces that particular hurdle such as a wave, mountain or ramp. Sandals youth was named Frontside because it describes that we need to face those hurdles as we move through life. We need to face God and let his truth guide us through life.

Our goal at Frontside is to provide a dynamic arena for teenagers to grow with others, themselves and God. We want to provide a safe and open environment for teenagers to really experience for themselves a true relationship with God. We open up thought and discussion by combining activities, music, lessons and small groups. Grades 7th-12th meet at the church offices during the 9am and 11am services and Wednesday nights we offer small groups located in homes around the city.

We would love for you to be there.
